Cafeteria Balances & Meal Policy – Doral Academy of Texas
Good afternoon Doral Families,
At Doral Academy of Texas, our students and families are at the heart of everything we do. We understand that many in our community are facing rising everyday expenses, and because we care, we have made the decision to clear all negative cafeteria balances at this time.
This is a one-time action intended to provide relief and give our families a fresh start.
As we move forward, the school will strictly follow all meal account policies and procedures. We appreciate your continued partnership in supporting the well-being of every student.

Meal Account Policy Highlights
- Families will receive weekly email notifications for low or negative balances.
- Students may charge up to $10.00 as a courtesy (1 breakfast and/or 1 lunch per day).
- Once the limit is reached, students will receive an Alternative Meal:
- Breakfast: $1.75
- Lunch: $2.25
- Includes entrée, sides, and milk
- Alternative meals will continue until the balance is paid in full.
- A la carte items cannot be purchased with a negative balance.
- Extracurricular participation may be impacted if balances remain unpaid.
Payment Options
To ensure your student has access to meals, we accept:
- Cash, checks (no temporary checks), and money orders (on campus)
- Credit/debit card payments online via LINQ Connect
Free & Reduced Meal Benefits
Families who may qualify are encouraged to apply for Free & Reduced Meal Benefits. Applications can be completed online through LINQ Connect or by contacting the school for assistance.
